Animals and plants — import, export and transit
The animals and plants listed in theWashington Convention (CITES)are considered "protected species". The traveller wishing to import them must present the CITES export certificate issued by the authorities of the exporting country.
The export, import and transit of any species of wild fauna — including their parts — are prohibited, except with special authorization from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources.
