SINDA is the Automated Customs Information System. Introduced in 1982, it has undergone several evolutions up to SINDA 2000, which modernises the entire customs clearance chain.
Objectives
Provide an effective means of controlling goods at import and export; simplify and accelerate customs clearance without compromising control efficiency; apply regulations uniformly; improve information exchange between customs and its partners.
Functions
Physical and documentary handling of goods from arrival to collection/export; automatic customs clearance; integrated tariff database (foreign trade, exchange, fiscal regimes regulation).
Applications
Customs clearance procedure (from manifest to removal), and specific applications such as SAFA (control of temporarily imported vehicles).

Open architecture (Unix / Oracle) with redundant configuration; immediate access to information with retention up to 5 years.
Single Submission and virtual one-stop shop
Dematerialization of foreign trade documents and interfacing with the TTN system according to EDI/EDIFACT standards (DDM, manifest, TCE, DCT).

Customs partners (carriers, maritime/air agents, customs brokers, companies, etc.) can connect by means of an operating agreement and a signed commitment, depending on their activity.
