A major step in customs modernization
The New Customs Information System SINDA II aims to deeply transform customs processes: optimize service efficiency, simplify procedures and ensure greater transparency. The project is part of the GovTech program, managed by the Ministry of Communications Technologies, which accelerates the digital transformation of public services.

A three-iteration implementation
The project is conducted iteratively. At the end of each iteration, the finalized modules gradually replace the old SINDA system.

Management by a dedicated management unit
A performance unit was created under the supervision of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to Decree n°2023-160 of 17 February 2023, for the acquisition, development and deployment of the new system. It is specifically responsible for:
- Develop the project implementation plan
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Finance's IT center and Tunisie Trade Net
- Coordinate with the bidder and establish quarterly reports
- Direct the implementation steps and propose legal updates
- Form the working groups and validate the deliverables
- Prepare the training plan and manage the administrative and financial aspects
Project partners
SINDA II: behind the scenes of the tests
The Directorate General of Customs organised, in collaboration with the project manager NETCOMPANY INTRASOFT and the Unit for Management by Objectives, a demonstration of the components of the first iteration of SINDA II. The event began with an address from the Director General of Customs, Mr Mohamed Hédi Safer, launching the testing phase.
Under the moderation of Major Colonel Lilia Latrech, the day was dedicated to an overview of the testing phase, followed by in-depth demonstrations of the modules—Party Management, Customs Value Management, Vehicle Management, and Reference Data Management—before a closing marking a significant step in the process.
